Immaculate room, neat, with exceptionally comfortable beds. Lovely views out over city. Unbeatable and brilliant location near The stadion, and 15 minute walk from a cathedral church.

I paid £56 for a room that was really far too small. It was an attic room - half of which slanted at an angle. I had a back pain as a result of the constant bending over I had too do, as the cei;ing was too low. This room is fine for a midget, or a child, but not for an adult.

The receptionist also looked after the bar in the evening, and waited at breakfast, and so was often stretched. Could do with another member of staff at these peak times.

All staff were very friendly and welcoming
Breakfast service was a bit slow, not good if you are in a rush. Once received it was good though.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also as the Hotel had only recently been reopened everything was new/clean.
My room was at the front of the Hotel and there was quite a lot of noise from the passing traffic. Also the lack of private parking was slightly disappointing.

My room was lovely (2nd floor - room 19) - well equipped, tastefully and pleasantly decorated - I think the 2009 refurbishment was done in an excellent way. Great ensuite bathroom too. The hotel was peaceful, clean and comfortable. Really nice. Breakfast was also a good experience - the food, the service and the dining room were all good. Checking in and out was quick and simple. Staff were pleasant and friendly but not intrusive. I would definitely choose this hotel again if returning to Norwich and would recommend it to others.
The only things which weren't perfect were: (i) in the morning (6.45am) the water in my shower was uncomfortably hot (too hot to stand under for more than a few seconds at a time) and I couldn't get it to cool down at all (though I could make it even hotter!); and (ii) the TV remote control didn't work very well (probably just needed some new batteries).
